If today’s exterior coatings and products are more durable than ever, why is the average homeowner repainting every six to eight years? Now factor in substandard building materials, such as (soft and porous) hybridized lumber which is used for exterior trim, and LP siding which a vast majority of homes today still have. Add rain, severed caulking, bare substrates and there you have it. It’s time to repaint.
