Cabinet Repainting

Kitchen cabinets, custom cabinets, bathroom vanities, they all need a refresh at some point.  Cabinets see a lot of use in a day’s time and borderline abuse from food spills, constant cleaning, and moisture damage from sinks and dishwashers.  We see it all the time.  Loose, thin, flaking paint, blisters, and “sticky-gummy” areas that did not hold up well to abrasive cleaners.

Cabinets come in a variety of materials.  Some of the more common are natural wood like oak, poplar, and cherry.   There are also manufactured materials like MDF and vinyl coated Therma-foil.  Natural wood cabinets are generally preferred because they hold up to everyday use much better than MDF and vinyl coated.  MDF is notorious for swelling and blistering when exposed to moisture from sinks and steam from dishwashers, while vinyl coated cabinets tend to loosen over time and peel away from the substrate. The good news, they can all be salvaged without replacement.   All it takes is the right prep, skilled technique, and a top shelf quality product to ensure your cabinet finish will last.

At Wanda Works we can assist with colors and make product recommendations based on the need.  Hand brushed or sprayed, we have salvaged the worst of the worst and can have your cabinets looking brand new again too.
